Tips for using and applying our leather wax slices
The leather wax should be applied in two coats, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next.
Leather wax slices can be applied with a brush, a wool applicator, or a metal applicator also known as a dye roller. The artisans at Radermecker Tannery the wax slice using a felt applicator to prevent any spillage or dripping on the grain side of the leather.
As the wax slice is saturated with pigments, diluting it will not produce a lighter shade. To obtain other shades, the leather wax slices can be mixed together. It is not possible to mix the leather wax slices withaniline dyes aniline leather because the polyurethane base and water-based pigments will not mix with the solvent, and this may produce a sticky mess.
